We might say that Losi took the engineering of rc cars to the next level with this tiny rc car, but they put it better themselves with this car’s motto, which is “taking RC to every level”. Indeed, they took the micro level by storm when they launched this Micro-T Stadium Truck, because up until the launch of this rc car, mini vehicles had been only street cars with basic suspensions. But, this one boasts fantastic performance features for a micro rc car and a very capable suspension.
This car offers a well-rounded RTR vehicle, because you’ll find everything you need when you purchase this rc car, everything from the radio, the charger to the batteries. Don’t get fooled by its size! Despite its size, it doesn’t sacrifice performance on the race track. At just under 5 inches long, the Micro-T has the speed and handling capable to tackle different types of surfaces.
The Micro-T is a two-wheel drive truck, based on a plastic tub chassis, which supports the front and rear suspension systems. The fully independent suspension features some tuning options, as well as the all-important friction dampers. The top of the front shock tower is kicked back and allows the skid plate to angle up. You get a better caster angle to the front of the Micro-T, so your car can correct itself upon landing after some jumps if the front comes down a bit hard. To the rear of the shock tower, you’ll find the transmission, motor and driveline. The transmission is equipped with differentials and adjustable slipper clutch.
The front suspension mimics the assembly found on larger versions of the Losi truck platform. However, due to the small size of the components, the front shocks cannot be adjusted just like a 1/10 scale truck’s shocks could. But take into consideration the fact that given the small size of the truck, shock adjustments would not have any significant effect.
The front lower suspension arms are made of plastic and are 3mm thick, with the upper 1.5 mm thick camber link using a bend in order to provide clearance for the front shocks. The steering links are also made out of plastic and are fixed. Even if they’re very thin, their design allows them to flow if impacted. The axle stub is made out of stainless steel with a diameter of just 2 mm. The suspension pin used on the front of the Micro-T is U-shaped and it works both as a suspension pin and a tiebar. Even if it’s just 1 mm thick, it provides plenty of strength and support for this tiny rc car. The rear suspension is modular and it’s supported by an axle carrier. However, as opposed to the front suspension, the rear shocks are adjustable on two positions. But the shock tower doesn’t offer any adjustability options though.
The battery compartment is housed on the underside of the chassis and it can accommodate a NiMH battery pack, charged by a portable alkaline automatic peak charger. The mini vehicle also features an electronic speed control with forward and reverse, high-traction rubber tires mounted on nylon wheels, BB-equipped ball bearings.
You can buy the Micro-T Stadium Truck in pre-painted color schemes, such as red, blue or green. Whichever the color, you’ll be sure to have lots of fun by driving this micro 1/36 vehicle on the race track. This RTR rc car is quick and agile and is a good model for beginners in the rc car world.
